What is Settle?
Settle is a Telegram bot with a web dashboard, made in Singapore for students. You send it group chat messages, screenshots, PDFs, photos of maths working and voice notes. It turns them into one task list with deadlines in Singapore time, and it does the first step of each task for you, such as a checklist for a brief or flashcards for slides.
Is Settle free?
You can start for free. The free plan has no monthly limit on forwarding chat messages and tracking deadlines, and the weak spot tracker is not limited. To keep the service fair there is a cap on how fast and how much you can send in a day. Each month it includes 3 maths checks, 1 slide deck to flashcards and 1 assignment brief to checklist. A paid Pro plan with higher limits is planned, but it is not on sale yet.
How do I start?
Open the Settle bot on Telegram and send /start. You read and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy first, and Settle does not store or process anything you send until you do.
Does Settle read my group chats?
Settle is made for a private chat with you. It only reads what you forward, paste or screenshot and send to it, and it does not go through your group chats.
Which kinds of files can I send?
Plain text, forwarded messages, screenshots and photos, PDFs, and voice notes. Files can be up to 20 MB, which is Telegram's limit for bots. PDFs longer than 50 pages are cut off at page 50, and voice notes longer than 3 minutes are not accepted.
Does it understand Singlish?
Yes. Messages like "prof say extend to nxt fri liao" or "tmr 11pm hor" are read as deadlines. Dates are worked out in Singapore time.
Can Settle be wrong?
Yes. It is software that reads messy input and sometimes misreads it. When it is unsure, it asks you before changing a task. Every change keeps the quote that caused it, so you can check a deadline quickly. For anything that carries marks, confirm with your course page or your teacher.
Will it do my homework?
No. Settle helps you keep track of work and gives you a head start, such as a checklist, flashcards or feedback on a step of working. It does not write your assignments.
What happens to my data?
You choose what to send. Your tasks, uploads and settings are stored so the bot and dashboard can show them to you, and you can ask for your data to be exported or deleted. Settle does not use advertising cookies. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I log in to the dashboard?
Use Telegram. Send /dashboard to the bot for a one time link, or use the Telegram login button on the login page. There is no password.
Do I need to be a Singapore student?
Settle is built for Singapore students and its dates and wording follow that. It is not limited to one school.
Is Settle connected to a school or university?
No. Settle is an independent product and is not affiliated with any school.
